Case highlights
- Party A v Party B: (2024): Acted for successful Landlord in possession claim. Landlord awarded costs, possession and rent arrears circa £38,000.
- Party A v Party B (2024): Acted for successful Tenant in disrepair claim. Compensation awarded in the sum of circa £22,000.
- Party A v Party B (2023): Acted and advocated for successful Appellant in the tribunal against a housing benefit overpayment claim. Appellant paid circa £10,000.
- Party A v Party B (2022): Acted for successful Claimants in a s50 Administration to Justice 1985 claim to remove the Defendant as an executor to the estate.
- Party A v 1) Party B 2) Party C (2021): Acted for the First Defendant in a partnership dispute. Successfully negotiated a settlement of circa £120,000.00 in favour of my client.
- Party A v 1) Party B 2) Party C (2020): Acted for a successful claimant in a quarter of a million pounds breach of contract, breach of trust and unjust enrichment claim. Costs were also awarded on the indemnity basis. Worked alongside Counsel from Selborne Chambers.
- Party A v Party B (2020): Acted for a claimant in a breach of contract, void conveyance, breach of trust, unjust enrichment, duress, undue influence, misrepresentation and unconscionable bargain claim issued in the High Court. Negotiated a settlement of circa £90,000.00.
- Party A v Party B, C, D, E &F (2020): Assisted a claimant who was successful in a professional negligence and breach of contract claim against a firm of solicitors and its partners. Judgment was obtained in favour of the claimant for circa £365,000.00.
- Party A v Party B (2020): Advocated in the final hearing for a respondent in an application made under s305(2), s306, s333 and s363 Insolvency Act 1985(IA). The point in dispute was whether s283 IA was applicable. Opposing firm was Clarke Willmott Solicitors London.
- Party A v Party B (2020): Advocated and was successful against Counsel in opposing a last-minute bankruptcy application.
- Party A v Party B (2019): Successfully negotiated a settlement for a claimant-client in a breach of tenancy agreement and failure to protect deposit under the Housing Act 2004. Opposing firm was DAC Beachcroft.
- Party A v Party B (2018): Successfully acted for a petitioner in an unfair prejudice petition in the High Court concerning a chain of highly successful Halal butchery franchises. Prepared the trial bundle and assisted the acting QC from Fountain Court Chambers with the 9-day trial.
